Separate the steps
Installation, first launch, account checks and individual modes can have different connectivity requirements. Record them separately.
Test before travelling
Finish required setup while connected. Disable connectivity, open the intended mode and test play and save behaviour. Close and reopen the app.
Document the result
Record device, operating system, app version, mode and date. Repeat after an update rather than assuming an earlier observation still applies.
